                                    This is particularly significant because events during childhood play a vital role inshaping a person's development.The whole point of an experiment is to find some type of unknown.Thatbeingsaid,accidentshappen.Theexperimentscouldleadtothechildbeingscarredforlife,whetheritbementallyorphysically.Thisisespeciallytrueaswhathappenstoapersonduringtheirchildhoodiscrucialtotheirdevelopmentasaperson.Childrenarealsomorefragile,makinganyharmfulexperiencesamplifyinitsmagnitude.ExposuretotraumaatanearlyagecanleadtothedevelopmentofPTSD(posttraumaticstressdisorder),depression,anxietydisorder,panicattacks,andBPD(borderlinepersonalitydisorder).Otherphysicaleffectsonneurodevelopmentcanbeobservedinpeoplewhoexperiencedchildhoodtrauma,inwhichthereisachangeinlongtermresponsetostressandvulnerability.Psychiatricdisordersarealsooftenobserved.Overallitcanbeseenthatanymajortraumainflicteduponachild,whetheritbephysicalorpsychological,canhavelonglastingeffectsontheirwellbeing.Somemightclaimthatsufficientregulatorypoliciesalreadyexisttoprotectminorsinvolvedinresearch.Whilenumerousrulesandrestrictionsareindeedinplace,theycannotaddresseverypossibleissue.Ultimately,long-termeffectscanstillsignificantlyhinderachild%u2019sabilitytoliveafulllifeinthefuture.Furthermore,withoutconsistentandrandomchecksonexperimentsandresearchers,manyissuescouldremainundetecteduntilit%u2019stoolate.Thus,itremainscrucialtoexaminetheethicalimplicationsofinvolvingchildreninresearchexperiments.Althoughmanybehavioraltestsonchildrenwereconductedinthelate20thcentury,the21stcenturysawtheintroductionofthe\wouldbebroughtintoaroomandgivenatoy,withtheexperimenterwarningthemthatitwasfragileandadvisingcaution.Aftertheexperimenterslefttheroom,thetoywouldspontaneouslyfallapart,whileahiddencamerarecordedthechild'sreactionsandexpressionsfor30seconds.
